Hope in a Pan-American Christmas:
North Meets South

December 21 and 22, 2019

Savor the rich culture of the Americas in this program featuring over a dozen different North, Central, and Southern American composers. Argentinian composer Fernando Morujas rarely heard Piezas Sacras sets the stage with a message of light and hope. Several pieces with percussion as well as Spanish and Haitian creole holiday texts will get the audience tapping their feet. North American composers Barnum, Lauridsen, and Runestad offer prayers for victims and for immigrants. We offer this concert in solidarity, with messages of hospitality, light, love, and hope for a better tomorrow.
